The Basics of Tipu Ake Model

The Tipu Ake leadership model means “An Organic Growth View.” People use it to consider growth within a complex ecosystem like a rainforest. As it turned out, it is a perfect model for describing any community or organization.

This model consists of fourteen “levels” of the ecosystem lifespan. When reading the descriptions of each level, we thought about how they might reflect the ecosystem of any project or community. Don’t you want to come up with the following descriptions? Understanding the principles of the Tipu Ake model helps us understand the stages of development of any and all ecosystems. So, let’s get started!

The Ecosystem Levels in the Tipu Ake Model

  1. Tree. Any project is like a tree. Consider the case of online casinos. They are based on a community and push upwards to give the community more living space.
  2. Earth Mother. The ground in any project is the community itself, that is, its people. In our case, it’s a target audience of online casinos.
  3. Sunlight. External energy that feels the ecosystem. So, communication is the sunlight of any project. We’d say it’s a study of demand.
  4. Soil. Here are the elements that break down the old growth and crack the seeds’ shells to bring new life to the project. The soil of any project is the narrative life of any community. Interchange of views makes new life possible because turning experiences into stories, reflecting on them, and sharing them is a big part of how we live our lives.
  5. Mycorrhizal fungi network. A company’s fungal network is the connection. People build and maintain them among projects and practitioners.
  6. Seed. The seeds of any community are the motivations that keep it going. Doesn’t it look like an advertisement for gambling platforms?
  7. Roots. Roots apply to the return phase. People assess what happened. They assess whether or not the project was successful, what they learned, how they were surprised, and what they can do to keep the momentum going in their next or follow-on project.
  8. Trunk. The trunk of any project is stories. They support everything that happens there. The quality of stories determines whether a project will succeed or fail. The quality of the stories depends on the strength of the roots, and everything else depends on the stories.
  9. Branches. The sense of any organization is branches. They grow out of the stories people tell. When sensemaking is generative, branches grow out in several directions, diversifying the growth of the project. The branches of online casinos as a field are the new ideas that grow out of its projects. Every time someone creates a new form of an online casino, a branch grows from the main trunk.
  10. Flowers. The flowers of any project are the collaborations that generate both practical and theoretical innovative ideas.
  11. Fruits. These are the outcomes in the form of profit, knowledge and experience. As the fruits grow, the online casino branch becomes a more useful tool for everyone to use.
  12. Birds. The birds of any project are its champions: the people who make it happen. In general, these people keep it lively and connected to the rest of the world.
  13. Pests. Simply put, it’s risk management, e.g., the process of avoiding the destructive effect of criticism, competition, restrictions, and so on.
  14. Poisons. That is what takes living energy out of the ecosystem.

How to Use the Model

Going through this exercise with online casinos was fascinating. Some of the levels are obvious. After only a few words of description, we knew what they were about and what some of them represented. Others looked like an uphill task. For instance, the differences between pests and poisons.

In addition to the descriptions above, we’d like to say,

  • This set of levels can be shortened and cleaned up a bit to the stages of background, seeds, rooting, growth, blossom, harvest and sustainability.
  • It might be a good idea to revisit the topic every few years to see what has changed about online casinos. Assessing the state of this ecosystem might be a good way to take the temperature of the field and consider what has been happening lately.
  • It would be good to see if we can develop a new list of principles that explicitly align with the Tipu Ake levels.
  • We understand that any project group could use the Tipu Ake model. It might help planners develop a deep understanding of the project.

Overall, any project group can revise this document later in the return phase of the project. That way, they can assess what they have learned.

Conclusion

In a world facing numerous challenges, the Tipu Ake Model offers a fresh and innovative approach to leadership. By embracing the principles of holistic growth and sustainability, project groups, as well as community leaders, can manage the complexities of the modern world.

At the same time, they may stay true to their values and goals. We strive to build a more safe and sustainable future. The Tipu Ake Leadership Model can be a guiding light for it. It inspires communities and organizations to cultivate innovation, the ability to handle stress, and collective well-being for all.
